Hi there! I knew exactly which color I wanted to replicate for this challenge. Since Tiffany’s has trademarked the color it is really hard to find a polish that is the exact Tiffany Blue. When you actually compare a Tiffany bag, box, and jewelry bag all three are slightly different shades of Tiffany Blue. China Glaze For Audrey is supposed to be one of the most comparable, but since my goal is to use only OPI colors during the 31 day challenge, I had to figure out how to recreate this color.

31 Day Challenge: Day 20
8 09 2013Hi there! Water marbling for day 20. A year ago I saw my friend’s attempt at water marbling. She tried twice, with her second try turning out much better than her first. At the time I had no interest in using this technique. Once I saw that it was part of the challenge I figured I should research how to best achieve a water marble mani.
OPI provides a tutorial on their facebook, but I felt that there had to be a better one that would give me more tips on how to be successful. Simple Little Pleasures has wonderful tutorials and also gives you which polishes work well in water marbling.

31 Day Challenge: Day 19
25 08 2013Hey there! I used a great tutorial by Chalkboard Nails in order to create my galaxy mani. I used her advise and started with a black based and then sponged on the different colors.
I started with two coats of NYC Black Lace. I then sponged OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook, OPI Do You Lilac It?, OPI Tomorrow Never Dies, and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls pretty much in that order on each nail. I sponged a little more My Boyfriend Scales Walls than I wanted on my index finger so I went back over with Can’t Find My Czechbook and Do You Lilac It? I finished with OPI I Juggle…Men so that it sparkled.
OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook, OPI Do You Lilac It?, OPI Tomorrow Never Dies, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, OPI I Juggle…Men
This was a fun mani to do because it didn’t take much skill. I was able to complete this mani on both my left and right hands easily. I want to create another galaxy mani that is more red, that will be my next challenge.

31 Day Challenge: Day 9
25 07 2013Hi there! This task was a fun one. I chose to do skittle nails, a very easy way to accomplish the rainbow. I wanted to use different colors from the days since a rainbow includes all of the previous color challenges. I actually went out and purchased a new orange, yellow, and blue since I didn’t have more than one of those colors. I purchased a new green to complement the rest of the shades. I really like how all the polishes are pretty clean and true to the spectrum, my blue is lighter than true blue however.
Thumb: OPI Girls Just Want To Play
Index: OPI In My Back Pocket
Middle: OPI The “It” Color
Ring: OPI Green-wich Village
Pinky: OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook
This day of the challenge opened my eyes to the wonderful world of OPI brights. These shades are not necessarily work appropriate, but luckily being a high school teacher allows me a little more freedom in my choice of style.
